They broker exchanges of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, and other digital assets with fiat currencies in 32 countries, and bitcoin transactions and storage in 190 countries worldwide. Coinbase is available in over 30 countries worldwide. Coinbase charges a flat 1.49% fee on all transactions. Coinbase is a licensed money transmitter in all 50 states of the United States. Coinbase was founded in June 2012 by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam. The company has raised $225 million in funding from investors including Y Combinator, Union Square Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Ribbit Capital, and Digital Currency Group.
