Avalanche is a network protocol that looks for better scalability by being an network of multiple blockchain connected within an interoperable network. A node became a validator when he can stake at least 2000 AVAX. Currently, the network is most used for it's Exchange Chain (X-Chain) where digital smart assets (Avalanche Native Tokens) are being exchanged, Platform Chain (P-Chain) and Contract Chain (C-Chain) which provide additional smart-contract support via it's EVM implementation (Ethereum Virtual Machine).
